The GrinchCommunity members purchased Christmas trees and wrapped up 2020 with a photo with the Grinch during a “Whoville event” at the end of November. The Mountain Valley Parents Club presented the fundraiser in front of Indian Valley Academy in Taylorsville.

“The Grinch photo and Christmas tree fundraiser event went really well,” said Greenville Learning Center site coordinator Andre Essue. The MVP Club is an independent nonprofit organization that supports Plumas Charter School (Indian Valley Academy and the Greenville Learning Center are two of PCS’s learning centers).
MVP Club members and volunteers presented the Grinch photo shoot, which raised $140. “Monies will be used to support the Plumas County Sheriff’s Association, which provides for a variety of emergency community needs,” said MVP Club treasurer Maggie Hennessy.

Christmas trees were cut and sold by members of IVA’s junior class as a fundraiser for their senior trip next year. The students raised $600.

The MVP Club thanks everyone for their support of PCS and local communities. Membership in the club is open to anyone interested in supporting PCS.
