2022-2023 Enrollment Interest

Greetings from Plumas Charter School!

As Spring approaches, it is time for our Open Enrollment for the 2022-2023 school year.  Open Enrollment will begin on Monday March 21 and end on Monday April 25th.  This is the time for any interested student to complete a short enrollment interest form. Currently enrolled Plumas Charter School students need to go through this process as well.  Priority enrollment is given to returning students, siblings of returning students, staff members' children, new students from within the school district, and new students from a neighboring school district in that order.  To take advantage of the priority designation, families need to complete the Open Enrollment process.  Once the Open Enrollment period ends, student numbers will be tallied and seats determined.  If there are more students that want to attend than seats allow, a public random lottery will be held on Friday May 6th.  At that time, a new waiting list will be established if needed.  Also once the Open Enrollment period ends, all other enrollment will be considered on a first come first served outside of any established waiting list.

For the 2022-2023 school year, the PCS Quincy site will be operating again under one roof at our new building located at 1425 East Main Street.  Being in this building will allow us to serve more students.  After seven long years of working towards this new facility, we are so excited to start a school year here!

In Taylorsville, PCS Indian Valley Academy K-5 will be operating out of our new classrooms that have been provided by the state.  Grades 1-5 will be offered a four day a week onsite option, while grades TK-K will be offered as a hybrid program that will include a one on one meeting weekly, along with a group activity weekly.  This change is being made because of low student numbers in these grade levels.

PCS Indian Valley Academy 7-12 will be absorbing grade 6, allowing for a middle school program containing grades 6-8 which will operate both at the new building and the existing building.
PCS Chester plans to offer a program in line with its current offerings.
We look forward to another school year that hopefully isn't challenged by wildfires and pandemics!  Fingers crossed:)
