Februburied! PCS welcomes back students after the storm

Februburied! School's back in after multiple snow days
Posted on 03/02/2023

Plumas Charter School welcomed back students on Thursday, March 2 after multiple snow days. While Wednesday's weather marked the end of the storm, PCS took one last snow day to clean up the aftermath of the February blizzard at their school sites.

The hybrid program that PCS offers allows students to easily pivot to independent study work during times that in-person learning isn’t available. During the snow days, teachers offered online classes, sent assignments to students and got creative with implementing snow play into extra curricular activities to do at home.

PCS serves students kindergarten through 12th grade throughout Plumas and adjacent counties. The personalized learning approach includes independent study, concurrent college enrollment, enrichment activities, online curricula, electives and center-based courses in Quincy, Indian Valley and Chester.
