Board Member Bios


S. Hill  Stephen Hill
Board President

Steve currently serves as the board president, working closely with Plumas Charter School's executive director to coordinate agenda topics. He joined the board when his daughter was attending PCS. "Ten years and many changes and challenges later I still enjoy contributing to the school's continued success in any way I can," he says. Steve has been on the board since 2009.
J. Gimple  Judy Gimple
Board Secretary
Judy currently serves as the PCS Board Secretary and has been a Community board member since 2010.  She has been actively involved in the success of the charter school and with Indian Valley Academy where she lives with her husband, Bill, who also served on the PCS board in previous years.
  Amy Moffett
Board Treasurer

Amy is the parent of a high school student attending Chester Learning Center.  She serves as a Board Treasurer and brings valuable insight from the Chester and Lake Almanor area.  Amy joined the PCS Board of Directors in January 2020.
C. Retallack 
Chris Retallack
Chis is the Senior Administrative Services Analyst for  PUSD/PCOE, and he serves as the primary liaison between the district and Plumas Charter School.
m. scott  Michelle Scott
Michelle is the parent of a student attending Chester Learning Center. She became a board member because she is impressed with the group of kids and staff at Plumas Charter School. PCS is a perfect fit for her family and she wants to be part of the school's success. Michelle likes to be involved in her community and help wherever it is needed. Michelle joined the PCS Board of Directors in October 2021.
Nils  Nils Lunder
Nils was raised in Westwood, graduating from Westwood High School in 1996. He then went to Humboldt State University where he earned a BS degree in Environmental Science. He has been working throughout the Feather River Watershed for the past 20 years on a variety of projects including land management, meadow and stream restoration, forest health, biological assessments, public access enhancement and outdoor education. Nils works for both the Feather River Land Trust and the Mountain Meadows Conservancy. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Feather River Resource Conservation District. Nils lives in Indian Valley with his wife, Lindsey and their three children. They have a small ranch and are passionate about raising healthy food and being good caretakers of their land.
