Mountain Valley Parents Club, the non-profit parent organization at Plumas Charter School, invites you to join in the Run Run Rudolph 5K and family fun run on Saturday, December 2.

Race through the holiday light display at the Plumas-Sierra County Fairgrounds as you compete in the timed 5K, or choose a leisurely pace as you take in the beautiful scenery of Chipper’s Wonderland. As you cross the finish line, keep an eye out for a special guest with cheeks like roses and a nose like a cherry.

The event begins at sunset at 4:45 p.m. and finishes at approximately 6:30 p.m.  Registration is now open via this link. Runners can also register onsite the day of the event starting at 3:45 p.m.

The timed 5K race is $25 per person and prizes will be awarded to top finishers. If you wish to participate in the untimed, fun run option, it costs $15 per person. For either option, children 12 years and under participate for free!

Proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit PCS’ Quincy Site after school program and other student activities. The after school program at PCS not only provides a secure atmosphere for children, but also offers a variety of benefits including an afterschool snack, homework assistance, educational activities and access to additional school resources.

MVP’s goal is to raise $10,000, which would enable
more students to access the after school program. If you or your business are interested in sponsoring this event, please visit the sponsors page on the race website or contact MVP treasurer, Nova Collinson at [email protected].
