Hallways became galleries, classrooms transformed into themed exhibits and colorful student creations filled every corner of the campus as Plumas Charter School's Quincy Learning Center hosted its first Art Walk on Thursday, April 30.
Families and community members gathered from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. to celebrate an evening centered on imagination and student expression. The event invited visitors to explore the campus through a guided walking route, with each classroom featuring a unique artistic theme and displaying artwork created by every student.
The evening began in the multi-purpose room, where walking tacos, drinks and desserts were available for purchase as part of a fundraiser supporting the sixth-grade class. Families and friends were encouraged to come and go throughout the evening and spend time exploring the exhibits at their own pace.

Students participating in the Art Walk also received scavenger hunt sheets to complete while visiting the different classroom galleries. Completed sheets were entered into an art-themed raffle basket drawing, adding another layer of fun and interaction to the evening.

The guided route throughout campus helped create a smooth flow of traffic while encouraging visitors to experience each classroom’s unique artistic theme. Every student had artwork featured in the event, giving families the opportunity to celebrate student creativity across all grade levels.

According to organizers and attendees, the event reflected the dedication and collaboration of teachers, staff and volunteers who spent countless hours preparing displays and creating an engaging experience for students and families.

“What a fantastic event,” one attendee shared following the Art Walk. “Can’t say enough about all the contributions, extra work, dedication and love shown. I have no doubt the parents and students will remember this and look forward to the next one.”

The Student Art Walk highlighted student talent and created an opportunity for families to connect with classrooms in a creative and welcoming environment, turning an ordinary school evening into a celebration of art, community and student pride.
