Plumas Charter School’s Indian Valley Academy (IVA) is excited to announce the start of the school year at its new location at the former Greenville High School campus. The move from Taylorsville to Greenville, completed in July 2024, was made possible through an eight-year rental agreement between PCS and Plumas Unified School District.

The new facility offers IVA significantly more space, allowing the school to expand its career technical education (CTE) programs, enhance its sports offerings and provide a broader range of learning opportunities for all junior high and high school students in Indian Valley. This expansion is part of IVA’s ongoing commitment to fostering a comprehensive educational experience that equips students with the skills needed for success in both higher education and the workforce.

“We’re thrilled to begin this school year in a location that supports our mission of providing our rural communities with educational opportunities and flexibility that support students in reaching their individual potential,” said site director Ryan Schramel.

As IVA continues to grow and evolve, the school remains dedicated to maintaining its close-knit community atmosphere while offering an array of academic and extracurricular activities. The move to Greenville marks a significant milestone in the school’s history, signaling a bright future ahead for its students, staff and the Indian Valley community.
